Cost: $20 Limit: 45

Dive into the cultural and political landscape of 1980s America through the lens of Stranger Things. This three-session course with Dr. Linda Maule explores how the hit series nostalgically evokes the era while glossing over key social tensions. Examine Reagan-era conservatism, the rise of the Moral Majority, and the impact of anti-miscegenation laws, reproductive control, and homophobia on small-town America. Discover how these forces shaped the decade and how they are subtly woven—or overlooked—in the show’s depiction of life in bible-belt America. Uncover the deeper context behind the supernatural thrills and ‘80s nostalgia.

Fee: $20.00
