Understanding of brain changes in advanced age has expanded significantly. While aging is often associated with declines, emerging research shows the brain remains remarkably adaptable. Join ISU Professor of Psychology, Dr. Ted Maldonado, as he explores recent advancements in brain aging science, including his current work on noninvasive brain stimulation techniques like transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). The discussion broadens to include evidence-based strategies for maintaining cognitive health across the lifespan. These encompass brain stimulation and lifestyle factors such as physical activity, sleep, and nutrition, all critical for supporting brain resilience and function with age.
