Explore the extraordinary life and innovations of Nikola Tesla in this engaging course tracing his journey from early education to scientific legend. The class examines Tesla’s pioneering work in electricity and wireless technology, including his collaboration—and rivalry—with Thomas Edison, and his partnership with George Westinghouse during the famed “War of the Currents.” Learn how Tesla’s inventions shaped the modern world, from the lighting of the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair to wireless communication. Topics also include his lesser-known projects such as the telautomaton, the Wardenclyffe Tower, World War-era experiments, and the mysterious particle beam weapon he sought to sell during World War II.
Marc Seifer, PhD is the author of more than 100 articles and a dozen books, including the acclaimed Wizard: The Life & Times of Nikola Tesla and Tesla: Wizard at War.
