Join Dr. Christian Gallagher, a retired Terre Haute Police Officer and current Associate Professor of Criminology at
Indiana State University, for a compelling look into modern policing. Dr. Gallagher will delve into critical issues such
as excessive force, PTSD, negligent retention, and the complexities of community partnerships. He’ll also address the “militarization” of today’s officers, sharing personal “war stories” and analyzing critical incidents that garnered
major media attention. If time allows, a retired local homicide detective will join the class to discuss true crime.
